Air Sense

CRYSTAL GLASS & TITANIUM

A glass collection designed for the German Schott Zwiesel / Zwiesel Crystal Glass consists of two versions: Air & Air Sense. To create an enhanced functionality and a stylish design, the focus was on the whole shape of the glass, not only outside but also inside. Both Air and Air Sense have the same slightly curved and almost weightless form, with Air Sense distinguishing itself being mouth-blown presenting an integrated decanted glass sphere in the glass. The glasses are lead free chrystal with titanium in the molten glass is both a unique durability and flexibility. The sensation of weightlessness and air is a recurring theme for the entire collection.

We constantly strive to find the perfect balance between form, function and experience for all the senses. The cooperation with Zwiesel Crystal Glass has been a wonderful symbiosis between vision, design and production. Our Swedish design style and our ideas, combined with Zwiesel Crystal Glass’ extremely high production requirements and unique glass quality, made it possible for us to develop the Air and Air Sense. We could not have been prouder of the outcome, says Bernadotte & Kylberg.

Stockholm Horizon

COLD ENAMEL AND POLISHED ALUMINUM

Inspired by the ever-changing landscape of the Baltic Sea and the Stockholm archipelago “Stockholm” and the two collections Aquatic and Horizon were created.
Aquatic captures the ocean’s ability of being beautiful and dramatic at the same time. The artistic design of Horizon reminicent of the water in the archipelago. The collection consists of a series of iconic ageless vases and bowls with bold, artistic designs and a mixture of polished enamel and aluminium where each pattern is hand made. Swedish Animals

COLD ENAMEL AND POLISHED ALUMINUM

A series of stoneware of playful ‘skålrikar’, a combination of a bowl and plate for Gustavsberg China Factory. In the ovenproof stoneware series “Swedish Animals” the designers have been inspired by their nieces to create a playful and stylish collection.

Gustavsberg China Factory’s solid craftmanship, tradition, profound knowledge and their high demand for design and product quality enabled our vision of “Swedish Animals” to be materialized the way we had imagined says Bernadotte & Kylberg. The first two ‘skålrikarna’ from the collection “Swedish Animals” were Mole and the Forest Hare followed by Mallard and Red Fox.

Signum

COLD ENAMEL AND POLISHED ALUMINUM

Signum was first put forward on behalf of Erik Lallerstedt at Restaurant Gondolen in Stockholm for the occasion of King Carl Gustaf’s 40th Anniversary on the throne. The idea was born to create a special china based on a signature dish, Salmon Carl XVI Gustaf, created by Erik.

The china is coloured in white and azure. The curry ingredient of the Salmon Carl XVI Gustaf adds a beautiful yellow color to the plate, presenting the colours of the Swedish flag – yellow and blue. The set of bone china consists of 24 cm plates with accompanying deep bowls.

”The Swedish theme was our inspiration for the design”

Textile Collections

WOOL. COTTON. LINNEN.

In 2013 a carpet woven out of discarded silk parachutes in a project for the World Childhood Foundation was created. By rotating, cropping, and reflecting the carpet’s graphic design three new pattern images were produced; Optica, Kaleido and Intarsia. These are the foundation of the textile collection Design by Bernadotte & Kylberg, developed in cooperation with Åhléns, autumn 2014.

Today the collection features 80 individual textile products and the collaboration continues.

A-One

WOOL. COTTON. LINNEN.

A collection of jackets in cooperation with the Swedish clothing brand A-One.
The collection consists of waxed cotton down jackets. New for this collection are vertical down panels and stretch features also a new market feature at the time when the collection was released. The colour scheme is dark blue and red with details in contrasting colors.

It was an inspiring challenge to develop a product with new ways to look at both the design and procedures.
This work has enabled us to work with a collection that features not only form but function, says Bernadotte & Kylberg.
